Agora World is out. Chrp Technologies is in.

The Startup World Cup’s lineup for Orlando, a preliminary event that will send one startup to Silicon Valley to compete for $1 million, has changed.

Organizers for the event made the announcement Tuesday afternoon.

No reason for the change was announced.

Chrp Technologies specializes in AI-driven solutions for home insurance.

NOTE: CHRP Technologies was not sent a questionnaire for this feature because of the late announcement.

Why enter the Startup World Cup?

We wanted to bring our patent pending invention, PreSend, to the global stage. We also aim to alert potential VCs, Angels, Family Offices, Private Equity, & Investor Groups of PreSend’s $2M SEED funding round that has recently opened. What better of a place to do that, than on the largest stage in the world, The Pegasus Tech Ventures World Cup Pitch Competition!

How does PreSend stand out?

Our cross-blockchain solution invention and the patents we filed on it. We also have pending patents on test and simulation transaction technology. The goal is a stranglehold on the blockchain transaction security market.

What is PreSend’s “why?”

Crypto is lost due to the “cross-blockchain” blackhole, by the millions, every single month. To keep people in crypto, as well as onboard the next 1 billion users into blockchain, we must make blockchain as seamless and effective as the legacy systems that the populous is already used to. By making it impossible for people to “accidentally” lose their money, with the PreSend invention, it is a HUGE step in the right direction in making crypto safe enough that legacy financial system users will enter and transact.

Why enter the Startup World Cup?

We want to showcase how Start Left is transforming how businesses approach security in modern software development. Organizations still rely on outdated security practices that hinder innovation and slow down the development process. Our platform empowers teams to embed security from the start, automate vulnerability management, and upskill developers with gamified learning. The Startup World Cup gives us the opportunity to highlight our patented model, our mission, and how we’re driving real change in the world of development security.

How does Start Left stand out?

Our focus on transforming the entire development and security process from the ground up. Unlike traditional AppSec vendors that burden teams with tool chaos and post-development fixes, Start Left integrates security into the development pipeline early, driving product-focused DevSecOps. We provide real-time, risk-based threat evaluation, helping teams proactively identify risks before they become vulnerabilities.

What is Start Left’s “why?”

Our founder recognized the inefficiencies and outdated practices in software security. Traditional approaches—like patching vulnerabilities after the software is developed—create tool chaos, lead to alert fatigue, and ultimately slow down innovation. The story is rooted in a deeply personal story. Our founder’s daughter experienced a medical device failure caused by a software vulnerability, highlighting the critical need for built-in security in products that people rely on. This event sparked a drive to ensure that no one else faces preventable failures like that.

Why enter the Startup World Cup?

Our pitch focused more on using our technology as an antimicrobial additive. We currently work with seven multinational companies on joint development incorporating our technology into their existing products.

How does Kismet stand out?

Kismet Clean provides long-lasting surface protection, reducing the amount of bioburden on critical surfaces in healthcare, food processing, agriculture and animal facilities, and more. Christina developed the current technology in 2020. The company has been around since 2019.

What is Kismet’s “why?”

We expect our innovative technology will create the next generation of products for many manufacturers in a variety of industries.

Why enter the Startup World Cup?

Since our start Halo has stayed pretty quiet. Though we had some really unique technology and ideas regarding detonation-based physics and engines, we wanted to take a few years to understand the pain points of the industry and how to best integrate our ideas into the market and current/future high-speed systems. We are at Startup World Cup because we have a clear vision of the best way to meet the market’s needs and how to grow Halo into a sustainable business our engineers would be proud to work at.

How does Halo Engines stand out?

Our approach to team building and talent development. As much as we know what our tech is capable of, our goal is to build a strong, tight-knit, talented group of leaders in this field that are passionate about shaping the future of aerospace. A strong and passionate team is what makes the change, the vehicle for that change just happens to be the technology. It is why we want to stay based in Orlando. There is an immense amount of talent here, but just as crucial, that talent is willing to drop everything and go full throttle to make a difference.

What is Halo Engines’ “why?”

We are tired of how slow things move in aerospace, especially in regard to high-speed air-breathing and rocket systems. It’s always the “hurry up and wait” approach because either there is red tape or lack of funding. When the Wright Brothers or Goodard tested their tech, it barely moved the needle in terms of adoption. It was their persistence and passion to solve the problem and meet the needs of their nation that ushered in a new era of flight. We are building at Halo because of our passion to aid our nation with a new form of combustion that makes fast travel and space more accessible.
