Three Orlando firms take stage for Synapse’s innovation awards in Tampa

A trio of Orlando tech companies and organizations took the stage at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa this week, vying for an innovation award at the annual Synapse conference.

Kunal Patel of Indienomicon and Ricardo Garcia of the Veterans Entrepreneurship Initiative presented their organizations in the community impact category, while Clint Graumann of Nuview Space made his pitch for the Innovative Solution Award.

VEI took home the trophy in its category.

“It was an honor for the opportunity to present what we have been working on,” Garcia said. “It was very humbling to be considered as a finalist and given the opportunity to pitch on the main stage. For us, it’s all about building the brand, building the audience and help others to join the mission of empowering veterans across Florida and beyond.”

The Veterans Entrepreneurship Initiative supports veteran-led businesses and last fall launched an accelerator program specifically designed for veterans.

Throughout the day, Orlando’s tech community spent timewith our neighbors to the west, all in the shadows of the Buccaneers’ infamous pirate ship.

The winners of the awards:

Startup: Fractio, Fatin Kwasny

Growth: Blitz Permits, Jyotsna Choudhary

Community Impact: Veterans Entrepreneurship Initiative, Ricardo Garcia

Innovative Solution: Irys Insurtech, Margeaux Giles
