Orlando-based Zero Trust cybersecurity firm ThreatLocker has expanded its global infrastructure with a new data center in Saudi Arabia, the company announced today. This investment marks a strategic move to provide secure and locally hosted services to businesses within Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East.
Danny Jenkins, CEO and co-founder of ThreatLocker, said the new data center aims to bring their security offerings closer to businesses in the region.
“Our new data center is about bringing powerful Zero Trust security solutions closer to the businesses that need them,” he said in a press release. “As Saudi Arabia undergoes a monumental digital transformation, ThreatLocker remains committed to advancing Zero Trust security, equipping businesses with the tools needed to defend against evolving cyber threats while driving innovation and economic growth in the region.”
“Zero Trust” is a security framework that assumes no user, device or application should be trusted without verification and authorization at every access request.
ThreatLocker officials emphasized that the new data center will enable Saudi Arabian organizations to implement its Zero Trust security model while adhering to local data sovereignty requirements and the regulations set forth by the Saudi government’s cybersecurity agency.
By offering a locally hosted solution, ThreatLocker intends to help these organizations strengthen their defenses against cyberattacks and maintain compliance with national standards.
The company employs about 550 across its locations, including hundreds in Central Florida.
In addition to the data center, ThreatLocker plans to open a local office in Saudi Arabia. The company said this further demonstrates its commitment to the region by fostering collaboration with local technology professionals and contributing to its growing digital economy.
ThreatLocker’s new facility in Saudi Arabia joins its existing network of data centers located globally, including its Orlando headquarters and offices in Virginia. In addition, it maintains offices in Dublin, Sydney, the Dubai region, Illinois, and Ontario, Canada.
This expansion into Saudi Arabia follows ThreatLocker’s recent establishment of an office in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates, indicating a broader strategy for growth within the Middle East.
The company said that these strategically positioned data centers are intended to deliver optimal performance and ensure compliance with local regulations for its customers worldwide.
