Orlando tech company C2 Technologies welcomes high-profile adviser

An Orlando-based company specializing in AI-driven training and simulation tech in defense has a new, high-profile executive coming in.

C2 Technologies leaders announced Monday that former U.S. Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro has joined its advisory board.

Del Toro, who served as the 78th Secretary of the Navy from 2021 to 2025, brings extensive experience in military strategy and technology adoption.

Prior to his government service, he also held executive positions in the technology sector, including as CEO of SBG Technology Solutions, where he oversaw IT and engineering support for the Department of Defense.

C2 Technologies focuses on developing advanced training solutions that incorporate artificial intelligence, modeling and simulation, along with immersive learning environments.

The company’s products are designed to provide personalized and adaptive training for military personnel.

The addition of Del Toro to the advisory board is seen by C2 Technologies as a move to strengthen its strategic direction, particularly in the context of evolving defense technology needs.

“Mr. Del Toro’s experience in both military leadership and technology implementation will provide valuable insight as we continue to develop our AI-driven training platforms,” CEO Dolly Oberoi said.

C2 Technologies maintains a presence in Orlando, and is involved in the modeling and simulation sectors that are a core part of the Orlando region’s tech industry.

The company provides services used to train members of the U.S. military.

This appointment highlights the ongoing intersection of technology and defense within the Orlando tech community.
